How do I stick to my baby’s sleep schedule during the festive season? [Christmas special]


With Christmas just around the corner, you must be looking forward to a much-needed break with your loved ones over a hearty dinner or the annual gathering with friends. But while you are making plans one after another, therein lies a big concern: How would you accommodate your little one’s sleep schedule? Especially if your baby’s sleep is a big priority for you, you might be wondering what you can do to ensure that your baby is well-rested while having your fill of fun. Fret not, we have three solutions for you!  

1. Have someone look after your child  

If you have the means, this will be the best option. Having someone you trust take care of your child means that you get to enjoy your time outside worry-free, and this also ensures that your child will stick to their early bedtime schedule. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.  

2. Be the host of the party

When you are the host, you get to put your baby to sleep early anytime you want. Besides, this makes it way easier to attend to your child’s every need should any emergencies arise.   

3. Bring your baby along  

Sounds counterintuitive, right? But not if you do baby wearing or carry your child in the stroller. If you are lucky, your child might be able to fall asleep while you mingle with your friends and family. 

At the end of the day, we encourage all you mummies not to sweat it and focus on enjoying yourself! Afterall, the worst that can possibly happen is having to cope with an overtired child for the next few days. It has been a difficult year, and we hope that everyone will take this well-deserved opportunity to rest, relax and enjoy some meaningful family time. I am sure that you mummies must be exhausted from juggling family responsibilities, and for some of you, work responsibilities as well.
